Moss/green slime removal

From the front wall of the house.

Should I just scrub it off? Or is there anything I should use to clean it better and deter recurrence? (Wall is brick btw).

Think it may be caused by external dampness - possibly gutter that needs attention. How urgent is it to get that seen to? Am hoping it can wait until late spring/summer.
