I didn't know about this until yesterday - is it usual for children not to be allowed plan paper for writing/drawing? I have a Y1 and a Y2 who both have a fair bit of "choosing time" - but apparently they can't do writing or drawing because they aren't allowed "rough paper" unless it's Friday afternoon
Is this a standard thing? I find it surprising.

Children only allowed access to "rough paper" on Friday afternoons - is this normal?
