because I miss my Ds's when they are in school, and they come home too tired to have a nice time with me.

Homeschool? I did this last year for 7 months. Unfortunately it didn't work out for DS2 educationally, so he went back to school, but we had SO much fun! It was bliss not to have to worry if bedtime was a bit late as there was no rush in the mornings, and so nice to visit museums etc. without the weekend crowds. We had a "PE lesson" every day - aka a swim in the pool! Now we're back to homework/making sure uniform is ironed/not forgetting library day etc.

I agree. I was one of those 'my DD is ready to start school now' mothers when she started in reception last year. However I miss her like crazy and given the option wouldn't send her. Having said that I couldn't home ed as I don't think we would get any work done!

Agree, role on xmas holidays!! I couldn't educate either, dd loves school and being with friends it would be selfish of me to take her out just for my feelings and i doubt we'd get any work done either..
