Primary state schools in barnet

Hello everyone
I somehow cant find my previous post with your responses on schools in Barnet. Please if you could recommend some good schools in Barnet (anywhere in Barnet..we are very flexible). It can even be a catholic school (though not Christian). Thanks 🙏🏼

Can't help but where we live elsewhere in Herts you won't get into a catholic school unless you are catholic. You might live opposite the school but a catholic person who lives 10 miles away would get priority over you. You need to read their oversubscription criteria carefully as most non catholics would be in the bottom criteria band.

Holly Park is a lovely primary school in FriernBarnet.

Ellie, that seems to only apply to secondary school (science, performing arts, music etc) and not to primary schools in my experience.

are you planning to move? many of the good schools have very tight catchments sometimes in the hundreds of metres.

It’s a huge borough with lots of great primary schools, but as a PP said, the catchments can be minute. I’ve looked at 12 (yes, really) schools in High Barnet/New Barnet/East Barnet, so feel free to ask me about them if that’s where you’re going to be.

could you tell me more about these three schools?

• Ashmole primary. Have you heard if it is going to receive a lot of applications for reception 2018 or if, since it is new, people still prefer to go to other schools?
  
• Osidge. Is it true that it is much better with the new headteacher?
  
• Brunswick park. What your thoughts on this school?
