I missed the video that was shown to parents yesterday (I believe it was a woman giving birth, puberty etc).

Does anyone know if I can find a copy of this video online anywhere. I tried googling but as you can imagine all manner of stuff came up! I thought it would be a good talking point.

We are in the SE if that helps.

I did have a chat with the teacher. Sounds like it's pretty tame.

I just wondered if there was a national curriculum website or something rather than trawling the internet.

Did you ask the teacher for the link?

There are a million and one of these types of films so you need to make sure you get the right one. Ask for a link or a copy.

The national curriculum would be no good to you as SRE has only just been made statuatory and there is no curriculum for it. Schools can teach anything from next to nothing ng (quick chat with school nurse that everyone finds horribly embarrassing) to a well planned and resourced, progressive whole school SRE curriculum which ensures children learn the facts and skills they need at each age/stage.

Ok thanks. Will ask the teacher for a specific link.
I think they are all finding it horribly embarrassing and DD just puts her fingers in her ears when I mention anything!

It's possibly 'living and growing'. It's doubtful that you'd be able to access it online as we have to pay for the resources.

Dd is year 5 and they're doing puberty at the moment. They watched living and growing on Wednesday, she said it was a bit embarrassing.
