Fulham prep vs Harrodian

We are moving to London from Manchester. My daughter was offered a place at Fulham place and at the Harrodian School. She'll start year 4 next September. What school is better? Don't know what to do.

Can you specify what you mean by better and the general location you wish to live.

Whilst I can't comment on either school do think carefully about senior schools. The Harrodian goes through to sixth form if that is what you want, Fulham Prep doesn't. If you are looking to move to a different school for Year 7, choose a school that is known to prepare well for 11+ as the 11+ is a tough process in London.

Thank you for replying and for your advice. We live in fulham, so I suppose about location FP would be miles easier. By being a better school, I suppose I mean academically better. What I would like to know Is about pros and cons of each school.

Harrodian is not a very academic school - more middle of the road, not pushy and all.
But - as others have said - the benefit is that she won't have to do 11+.
With Fulham prep - your daughter will have to do 11+ - which is a really stressful and competitive exam here in the Central London.

It sort of all depends on what kind of child your slaughtered is. If she is highly academic and likely to do well in 11+ - I'd take FP.
If she is ok, and doesn't like to be pushed or put under pressure - Harrodian is still a good school.

Fulham prep is opening a senior division, so she will have the option to stay on after 11 if you choose FP for your DD.
