Thurston Primary School, Bury St Edmunds

My daughter starts reception at the above in September and to be honest im not that keen on the school. The staff seem quite abrupt and cold. My daughter went for a transition day and the teacher didnt even acknowledge me or make eye contact as she handed my daughter back, she didnt say goodbye to her or say how she had been during the day. I realise the teacher wont be giving me feedback every day but this was my daughters first full day at this school, i at least expected a few words. Can anyone give me their thoughts or experiences of this school.
My daughters Nursery school is amazing and i am now fearful that her new school wont live up to the high standard or care she has recieved over the last 18 months.
We did not get places offered at our preferred schools.
