Ive heard good things about it. Someone in our area moved from Amherst as they relocated. I can't imagine there are any free speaces though are there? I heard all sevenoaks schools were full.

Thanks for coming back. I know it's unlikely we were just trying to get an idea of the school. There are some places in Sevenoaks schools - it just depends on the year.

What years are your children in. We are considering moving back up north and really worried about finding a school to fit my 3 in. I guess the only protential prob with it is its size. Some people feel their children are best suited to a smaller place.

Thanks Laura0806, that's totally what we are worried about. 3 forms with 32 in each seems very big.

My two are Year 3 and 4.

I grew up in Sevenoaks but don't live there now. Amhurst had always had the best reputation of all the local state schools and good results at 11+. Friends who still live in Sevenoaks say they think it's a very good school but all Sevenoaks state primaries have a very skewed intake as such a high proportion of Middle class families in Sevenoaks opt for private schooling

Thanks for the replies. It's the demanding part that worries me a bit.

Any views on Weald Primary?

What did the head say about places when you visited? Are there spaces in they years you are looking at? It's a v popular school and generally runs full. The odd place comes up but there is likely to be a waiting list of people who live nearby but failed to secure places who would probably snap it up.

In terms of size each year group is large but you only have years 3 to 6 (as the infants go elsewhere) so not big compared to most primaries.
