Moving to Cambridge City

I would really appreciate some advice please. We are moving to Cambridge- central hopefully and I'm unsure about the primary schools. We will be applying in the school year and I understand most schools are oversubscribed. Which school are we most likely to get a place in for year 4?
Also for my preschool child I would appreciate recommendations for nursery schools/ playgroups? Thanks.

Lots of good primary schools in Cambridge are oversubscribed at reception but undersubscribed by year 4 as children move into the private sector.

Nurseries might be more tricky.. Why don't you post on the local board?
