wrong place...but..leappad question for you!

I bought my DD a leappad (tablet computer thingy) for christmas. Got it ages ago on offer. I friend of mine gave me a leapster cartridge game that is meant to fit the leappad. Has anyone done this, I am I being thick but I can't seem to make it fit anywhere on the leappad! Trying to set it all up prior to Christmas as as you can tell I am not very tech!! Bit miffed as when I bought this gadget they said apps/games were around £5-£7, now looking and the good ones are about £15-£20!!! That is why desperately trying to work out how the older cartridges fit!!

There are two types of leapfrog games cartridges. Only one type fits leap pad.
Sorry can remember which, but Madagascar penguins maths is one of them. Might be you have the other type.
