The nits finally caught up with me :(

There will be warfare tonight... mushroom clouds of kaboom optional.

Quite chuffed I survived working in schools a decade before I finally caught 'em tho!

wow, I am impressed! I once found out that I had brought home a little passenger from school when it fell off my head and landed next to my breakfast. (thank god not in it but i suppose that would have been the ultimate revenge... Grin )

I was considering breaking out the GHDs in the hope of frying a few, purely for revenge... I'd better have hair like Cheryl Cole after all this chuffing conditioning though!

Am quite impressed I managed a decade (often with the nittiest classes in the school) before ending up with the buggers though!

10 years deserves and Ofsted of Outstanding, methinks Grin

Tip: re-treat in a week, then again in two. I used Hedrin Once, and though its expensive it really does seem to work on the eggs - nothing alive discovered on any of us after the first treatment!

Assuming you have no one competent and willing to help you inspect yourself and comb out... (my dh was utterly useless. He'd spend 2 seconds, then say "no you're fine!")

I recommend the electric combs, because you don't have to be able to see and identify the lice. It can be used to check for lice as well as to remove them. You hear a satisfying ZAP when the comb fries one. However, it doesn't get the eggs, so it's necessary to repeat the process once the next batch has hatched out.

Think they're gone - ain't found a critter for a couple of days now (but have hair very very very tightly tied up in a bun lol)! Combing my head into oblivion and contemplating going short-haired again now - well I was anyway...
