I'm not in Uxbridge, so I can't help at all about which school, but I think you've got an extra year.

Your son will be due to start Reception in September 2012 when he has just turned 4. You have time to look at schools, and will probably need to apply about this time next year.

He would be eligible for a place at pre-school from next September. A good way to find out about them is to go to some local parent-toddler groups and ask around. Smile

schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk/
is a good place to start - enter your postcode and you'll get a list by distance.

Whitehall is far far better than Cowley :)

He would start his pre-school year (aged 3-4) in Sept 2011 and his reception year (aged 4-5) in 2012. Some schools have pre-schools attached to them, other pre-schools are completely separate places. I don't know your area to know how it works there.

Nurseries are attached to schools here. I think you need to apply for a nursery place at the school you have chosen.
