When should we expect periods? 11 years old

Hello,
My daughter has just turned 11. When she was 9 she started to get smelly so started using deoderant. Shethen started getting breast buds about a year ago (age just 10) and around the same time got public hair. This summer she stared getting under arm hair.

Her breasts are now quite rounded and breast like (!!). She seems very grown up compared to most of her friends in both looks and maturity.

When should we expect periods? We chat openly about it and she's got some pads in her bags and knows what to do.

I was 13.5 before I reached this stage and I can't remember how/when everything progressed

My DSD started her periods age 10 so could happen anytime really.

I was 11 and a few other girls in my class started the same year. Just make sure she is educated and has a kit with her in case she needs it including spare pants as the first time will be a surprise.

It's so difficult to predict - since your DD seems to be developing faster than her peers, it might be soon, but then I also know women who didn't get their period until 14 or 15.

Why the desire to know 'when to expect' them, in particular? Is it the hassle of carrying pads when it might not happen any time soon, or is she impatient for them to start?
