This may sound petty

A friend of my daughters did a very mean thing to her during leavers assy ( said something that spoiled her last day) I now want nothing to do with this child, they have been friends since foundation but the other girl has always been bossy and over powering and will drop her for another friend. Luckily they are going to different schools and live far enough away they won't keep seeing each other. Do I let the friendship naturally die off? At the moment I don't want her in my house so every time she rings we are busy, husband says I am being petty but he didn't see how hurt my daughter way. My daughter still wants to be friends sort of ( I think she is still hurt)

Don't you think you should let your daughter deal with this? As she gets older don't you want her to feel confident in her own feelings so she can trust her own instincts about what is right and what is wrong in her relationships? If she is hurt, she needs to sort things out and feel confident enough to speak her own mind to her friend. The friendship may naturally fall away but I think it should do so on your daughters terms...
