signs of puberty

My DD (10.5) is not showing any signs of puberty, no breast development, no hair anyway, no BO or anything. She came home from school yesterday with maybe a thumbprint size bit of blood in her pants. She went to bed with a panty liner in situ but hasn't had anything further. I thought we had a bit longer before periods because of the lack of any other signs. Please tell me I'm right! Could this just be a one off? I just want her to get through the next few months of primary school. I think I was about 13yrs when I started but she is taller than I was. Please advise, I feel really anxious.

It sounds really unlikely that she has started her periods without any hair etc. has she by any chance fallen and hurt herself? Is she constipated?

Maybe she scratched herself or something. You would normally have breast buds, hair, etc before periods begin

Thanks guys. She has complained of a bit of tummy ache this week, not constipated and she says she hasn't scratched/been itchy. Weird! but hopefully nothing.

Possibly, she feels well in herself though, and no stinging or anything. On a positive note, she took it really well bless her.

It's just when you said she had tummy ache that made me think of a UTI

I'll definitely keep an eye on her from that point of view, thankyou, very much appreciate the support.

Unlikely to be a period. When my dd was about 4 at nursery, she had a fall and afterwards had a bit of blood in her knickers. Sometimes it happens after a slight injury.
