a fairy in it?

DD (3.5) needs to dress up as a favourite nursery rhyme character on Friday for pre-school. She has a fairy outfit complete with wings (and wand and crown type thing). I was wondering if we can get away with that. She likes wearing it and it would save me taking my 39 + 2 self round the shops.

Would it be sensible to send in a change of clothes too for when the novelty wears off. It's only a morning session.

If not, any bright, simple, cheap ideas please?
I've seen all sorts of things before in places like Woolworths but they seem to be story characters like Snow White rather that nursery rhymes.

TIA.

Slightly tenuous but what about ...There was princess long ago..... as there is a line about a fairy waving her wand!

DD1 was a fairy in a nursery concert for this song/rhyme

if she has a crown could you stretch a point (toddlers can be pedantic i know) and call her a queen? that opens up lots of options, queen of hearts, queen in sing a song of sixpence, er.... lots of others i'm sure
