We sent our child to Broadhurst within the last few years and did baby classes at Ready Steady Go many years ago. The pros of Broadhurst (for me): they prepare children well for selective preps without being pushy (although they seem to refer a lot of little ones to expensive speech therapists), they have strong relationships with selective preps, wonderful teachers, and the school attracts involved parents. The cons (for me): alleged mistreatment of teachers lead to a mass exodus over the last few years, a difficult headmistress, and an overwhelming sense that management primarily cares about profits since the current proprietor took over the school several years ago..The parents I have seen with kids there now say it is getting worse and they are looking forward to leaving. Ready Steady Go has a reputation for being a caring place that is not overly concerned with prepping kids for assessments..hope this helps.

Hi we also sent our children to Broadhurst and agree with CMIA. Although many teachers have been leaving in recent years I found the ones coming in to replace them have been very good. So this has helped keep the standards high. And yes I agree they manage to teach a lot to young kids without being pushy. It's all play based learning.

Ready Steady Go I think is freer in terms of the curriculum. My friend's son went there and he enjoyed it but it's a little different from preparing for the 4+ assessments.

Perhaps register and visit both and see what you think? You can usually get a feel of the place and if it's right for you.

There's also this article that has a rundown of good nurseries in North London if you needed more ideas: www.masandpas.com/nurseries-in-north-london/

Hope this helps.
