Had a letter today to say DS has a place in the school nursery and has an open day on june 14th[letter was addressed to him]. On the back is a little slip of paper that says I have to order and pay for the uniform on the same day but no idea of prices etc. It is [as far as I know] a tracksuit with a yellow polo shirt all with school badge on. Obviously will need a couple so how much is it going to cost?

depends on the school

our school charges

£6.50 for a school sweatshirt
and £5.50 for a school polo shirt

(I think that's right I might be out by a quid either way)

they also charge £7 for a reversable fleece-lined jacket but are out of stock which is a shame because they're luv-er-ly

Our pre-school has sweatshirts, but they are not compulsory and hardly any of the children have them. Uniform is not legally enforceable as compulsory until senior school.

Ours is £9 for a polo shirt and £11 for a sweatshirt [sock]. Luckily they don't have to wear it.

Ds's cost £8.99 polo shirt with logo, £10.00 sweatshirt with logo and £5.00 plain black jogging bottoms. It's compulsory. They also need plimsols and shoe bag. They are good quality though thankfully and have lasted since September.

Personally I'd only buy the logo sweatshirts. Joggers and yellow polo shirts are available all over the place. How old is he? I may have some egg-yellow polo shirts in the huge pile of outgrown clothing in a 4.
