chairpeople - ofsted action plan

We recently were Ofsteded (if that can be a verb) and had two recommendations. I am vaguely aware I need to produce an Action Plan in response. However, I don't know where to look to find out how/what to write. Can anyone help?

It would depend on the recommendations? What were they?

I'll check back tomorrow - off to bed now!

What were the recommendations?

You should have a contact in the PLA that will beable to help you with any policies.
Have you looked in the national standards guidelines book thingy.

Oh ok - I thought maybe there were some OFSTED guidelines somewhere. The recommendations were just to continue to develop our planning and to always report significant events within 14 days. I only realised I needed to write an action plan when someone from the LEA wrote to congratulate us and asked for a copy!

Have phoned Ofsted. They don't require an Action plan but she said it would be a Good Thing to do one `anyway (let's face it, got nothing else I could be doing...). It must have been an assumption by the EY dept that we would need one!
Anyway, for reference purposes, there are no guidelines to writing one.

Think our action plans have basically been what we need to do, how we will go about doing it, who will be responsible for doing it, a date when we will review progress and a date it will be completed by. I think ofsted recommendations are meant to be done within six months (and definately by your next inspection!)

What LizP said, and put the whole thing on one side of A4, in a table format with appropriate headings.
