Who else loves barometers and weather stations? Smile Mine has -

  • Pressure (hPa) mercury rising or falling
  • Temperature
  • Hygrometer (measures the moisture contect in the atmosphere)
  • An Admiral Fitzroy Stormglass (which shows little flakes in stormy weather and is clear in sunny weather - love it)

Does your barometer (or other) work? Would love to see stories and photos....

Me, and I adore the shipping forecast. There's something v warm and snuggly about lying in bed, all tucked up with a cup of coffee, listening to it. So melodic and soothing.

Here is a photo of my barometer. The hygrometer was high last night even though we are nowhere near Scotland.

I have a barometer by the back door.

I like to give it a little tap when I let the chickens out in the morning!

I love the idea of the storm glass...

The stormglass may not be the most accurate way of predicting temperature but I think it is the prettiest. Smile Watch this...(fast forward to the time lapse at the end).
