Has anyone been to the Marie Stopes clinic in Maidstone? I'm booked in for tomorrow and have some questions...

No but I have been to another one, what are your concerns? I imagine they all have a similar feel.

I've been there. First time was pretty horrific tbh about 11 years ago but went last year and was a very much better experience as in the care was good as was the advice and treatment

Thanks for your replies, my appointments at 9am and I'm having a surgical termination without sedation. I only have childcare until 2 o clock, do you think this leaves me enough time? Will I be in alot of discomfort afterwards as I'll have to drive afterwards to pick my DD up.

Also, I'm very aware there are usually protesters outside the maidstone clinic. I'm getting very anxious about this as I've never been there before (only walked past it) and from what I can see there are stairs up to a door and there's stairs that go below the ground too. I'm not sure which is the entrance to the clinic and would like to just get in as quickly as possible for obvious reasons. I know this seems so little compared to what else will be going on tomorrow but this is what's causing me the most amount of stress.

Yes to get in you go down the stairs and they will buzz you in. There's no room down there for anyone to hang around. I've never seen protesters there but I would imagine that if they are there and you just ignore they will mostly spout some crap and then leave you to it. I've never heard of surgical without anesthetiser. I had a surgical abortion the first time I went and woke up during op HmmHmm horrid! I had the pills this last time and was very uncomplicated with little effects. I don't know if you'll be alright or not tbh on that score. I hope it all works out ok for you and honestly just try and ignore any protesters.

I had a surgical but with sedation and I was fine afterwards, no pain at all really. The only thing was I had to wait about 2 hours before I actually got seen, so hopefully this won't be the case for you too.

Hope you're okay and wishing you all the best for tomorrow Flowers
