Transverse baby turning at 32 weeks

I just had a growth scan and they have found the baby is transverse. He was the same at 20 week scan and I have his head just under my right hand ribs, bum under my left ribs and only one leg under my belly button.

The consultant was not worried at all and said most align by 36 weeks (have another scan then), but DS was back to back and I spent so much of the end of my pregnancy on hands and knees, over birthing ball and sitting on a dining chair backwards and he didn't turn even during labour.

Was just worrying how many others have had a transverse lying baby at 32 weeks and if there are some success stories of the activities attempting to turn babies working? Thanks.

My daughter was tranverse when i went in for a check up at the hospital at 35ish weeks as i wasnt feeling great, and she tunrned back before labour began but she was also back to back too.

I had to stay in over night and i remeber basically leaning on the window ledge bit and just moving my hips about .. come morning she was head down, the little madam was always moving in awkward positions!!

DS was transverse until I was 37 weeks. I didn't think he had turned as I didn't feel it, but he did. Just as they were about to start talking c sections.

Mine was transverse at my 29 week scan. Then at 32 weeks I was lying in bed one morning and felt a really different type of movement, a really bulgy, weird, kind of determined move where I swear I could feel a pointy elbow or knee out the side of my bump.

And after that my bump felt slightly different and I am back to needing the loo every 30 mins.

Last appointment confirmed that the baby is now head down.

ds was a transverse lie and no one noticed until my waters had broken and they were trying to persuade me to be induced. I got felt by a variety of midwives and doctors and they all said oh yes that's his head (it was him bum) including the very experienced midwife with her trainee. I too had a big move in the last few weeks, but ds was so wedged into position (and came out very squiffy - it took several years for his head to straighten out) that they said I had a bicornate uterus. However if you've had a scan I'm sure they are right! I hop your little one turns into a more comfortable position for you

dd2 was traverse until 36weeks, then gave me one really uncomfortable night while she wriggled and wriggled and got herself head down. Still back to back mind you, but she sorted that out about 15 min before being born!

my baby was transverse from 20 week scan until around 35 weeks when it has decided to at least get head down, although still back to back with longtitudinal lie. am hoping with lots of forward leaning etc this might change too. am now 37+5 so hopeful i can avoid section or v. uncomfotable labour. in our trust they won't worry till your 36 week appointment, then refer to consultant for possible ecv at 37 weeks, but mw said most will have turned by then.

no3 was breech at the very end,but i was told to get on all fours and gently rock side to side,i did this most nights and she turned, whether it was to do with the rocking or she just did it herself i dont know, but i was glad and she was 8lb 5oz,so not much room for her to turn, but she did ..

Mine turned at 37 weeks, most do I believe.

Oh, I didn't do anything to make her turn, she just figured it out on her own. She was back to back though, only turned late in labour.
