PAIN ADVICE PLEASE X

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and have started in the last hour with a pain in my upper left abdomen, it is a nagging pain but not severe.

I had an ovarian cyst of 8cm during my last pregnancy which was monitored throughout and didn't change in size, appears to have burst during labour (wasn't there on post 6 week scan).

Can't remember what pain was like with it but think it was lower down than it is now.

Could this be another cyst, or should I get it checked out?

I would advise getting this checked out as could be an ectopic.

Thanks, I did think that but then read that ectopic pain is usually lower abdo pain, this is upper just under ribs.

Hmmm, not sure then.

This may sound very random but do you have Crohns or any digestive condition. Only reason I ask is because my husband has crohns and gets pain where you say quite often during a flare-up.

I have IBS, and have also had pancreatitis, and to be honest this pain is very similar to the pain I had when I had that so it may well have flared up again.

IBS pain tends to subside after BM, this hasn't so do think it's that.

It is definitely a bit odd. My dh has just had pancreatitis - you poor thing!!!

Anyone with that gets my entire sympathy, because he wasin agony with it!!

I'm sorry I can't help you, I really do hope it isn't pancreatitis!! But even if it is I hope you get it all sorted out

Here's wishing you a happy pregnancy!!

The pain was awful, I was admitted to hopital for a week and lost over 2 stone and considering I was only 7 and half to begin with I did look and feel a state. Was out of qork for 6 weeks. Really don't want it again tbh and reading on the web it isn't good in pregnancy either. Seems to have eased and haven't had any sickness just the trots so hoping it was eiter mild case or something different altogether (fingers tightly crossed).

Thank you for your reply
