I have a low lying placenta, going for another scan in 2 weeks, it's moved a bit but not enough to avoid c-section at mo. Really want natural delivery so has anyone got any tricks to help shift it, it posterior by the way

you cannot do anything to move your placenta. it has implanted in a lower place and it might be that as your uterus stretches and grows over the next 2 weeks or so, it moves enough to no longer hinder a VB

AFAIK there is nothing oyu cna do to move it

is it partially covering your internal os?

or just near ?

i was told all the way through i would need a cs for this reason, until about 36 weeks when as lulumama says, the uterus had stretched enough to gradually lift it away from the exit lol.

as it happened, at 39 + 4 they then decided i needed a cs for macrosomia, and told me to go and get myself sorted and be back at the hospital by 3pm. i guess i just wasn't destined for a vb that time lol.

nothing but time and a helping of luck i'm afraid...

Nothing you can do apparently?I?ve been asking the same thing myself.

I?ve been booked for a 34 week scan and told that the decision regarding a CS or natural delivery will be made at that point and that I won?t be scanned again (mind you after reading your post I may push for one if my placenta is still low as I really want a homebirth this time around)

If you have been offered another scan at 36 weeks that sounds good, just keep your fingers crossed. I have spoken to quite a few women though who have said by the end it had moved though so keep hopeful!
