Pregnancy

40 weeks and haven't a clue what's going on!

As title says, I'm due today and things don't seem to be going to the textbook! I've been having really frequent and often quite intense BH for about 4 days, mainly during the night and some infrequent backache. During the days, a bit less. My midwife thought I might be in slow labour/latent phase. Woke up this morning and did need to pee but definitely had a leak which I'm pretty sure wasn't wee as it wasn't the lovely pregnacare stained/smelling stuff I've had the last 9 months. 2 or 3 BH today and a bit of backpain - bouncing on the ball was too painful as was trying to do naughties with DH. Bump very very sore. The midwife is going to call me later and says things are looking positive but I'm not having contractions, I feel completely normal other than a bit sick. Baby still moving but is def taking things easier today. Movements are far more painful though. What's going on?

What's also really worrying me is that it's all psychosomatic as I obviously really want the baby to come. I've also been hitting the EPO, clary sage, RLT the last few weeks so could all my symptoms have been false and self-induced? I've also exercised every day of my pregnancy so don't often feel aches and pains etc.
Any experiences or advice? Thanks!

Unbelievable. I could have posted this myself...I'm 41 weeks and feel the same way but sorely frustrated cos this is number 4 and the others were born on time.

Suppose it reassures me that I'm not the only one. Hope things happen quickly for you...and of course as pain free as possible x

Yup me too, it must be a sunday thing

Have been having strong BH since a sweep on friday, theyre worse in the evening and then tail off when I go to bed.
Today movements are agony, cant sit comfortably anywhere and am in stinking mood for no apparent reason!
No advice, just my sympathy

(p.s. re the clary sage, my aromatherapist told me tis only to be used when labour starts and absoluetly not before (shes given me something else for pre-labour), dont mean to worry you, just hope youre using with good advice)

Thanks! Appreciate replies as feel I'm going nuts here and don't want to just talk myself into being in labour when prob not.

Added clary sage to my bathwater after talking with herbalist but oh crikey what have I gone and done now?

Thank again.
