Aww bless aims so you can tell us both how it really is! lol

Jelly I have almost everything just need some drawers for his clothes but even argos has sold out its crazy!! We have been lucky enough to have everything given to us! well most of it anyway, perks of a big family!

What put you of the pool? Also are you suffering insomnia yet the last 2 night I have been unable to sleep and clock watched all night! Its less than 13 weeks to go for me! Eeeeeeeek!

This baby has no idea of when its sleep time etc and I swear he is awake 24/7! Movements are amazing and he is almost strong enough to kick the remote of my belly, fabby considering how at the beginning i was desperate to feel him kick now sometimes id like 10 mins break!

Are you looking to buy atm or are you on the housing list? We just got accepted for 2 bed so looking all the time as he will be in the bedroom with us for a while not that I mind!

I need a wardrobe and drawers but have no where to put them! Yeah im not sleeping, i have pains down my legs and back at night so if im not up going to the toilet and trying to get comfy!

Ahh the birthing pool, i dunno, im being an idiot but i was put of that it i, urmm did i poo, lol it would be floating around! and the thought of my midwife chasing it with a net...well my bf wouldnt let me live it down!

Were on the housing list but no such luck as yet, so probably going to rent privately. Were living with my bf parents at the mo and im going to flip very soon!

What are you guys doing for antenatal classes?

awww Jelly i can understand about the poo but years back DH had a serious accident ending up in a wheelchair, (temporarily) as I had to clean his behind etc he will have to put up with it and scoop it all out!

Sounds stresful waiting for somewhere have you given them your proof of pregnancy yet??

As for classes we are using NHS classes and I had to push to be put on them! So if your not on them yet get yourself booked as so I heard they get booked up well in advance in this area!

Also get yourself on freecycle if your not already as Bath is great for all sorts of baby bits if your fast enough, I got most of my stuff on there!

Another tip if your short of cash buying bits there is a place in Midsomer Norton called Kidzkit and it is excellant value, all 2nd hand but fab! I just been in and got a cot bumper in fantastic as new condition and 2 cuddle robe towels for £9. For a 15 min drive from Bath its worth the visit, HIP grant are flying through fast at the moment!

I'm sat here chuckling at you guys about the poo! However way it happens, in or out of the water it's mortifying - although at the time you won't care less!!

Babies are lovely - it's when they're 3 year olds you have to watch out, but you've plenty of time to enjoy them up until then lol!!

Ive already booked myself on some antenatal classes called Fit for Birth. My midwife said that the only NHS things i could attend was a breastfeeding classes and the hospital tour of the baby unit.

Weve pretty much got everything for the baby, my blokes mum bought us the travel system, cot, bouncer, mattress, moses basket and dresser so weve been very lucky!

Yeah we gave them proof of pregnancy at 12 weeks, and i spoke to someone from the council today who pretty much said we have a hope in hell of getting a place! So were going to have to private rent, probably somewhere like Peasedown St John as its alot cheaper than Bath!

Have you guys thought of any names for your little ones yet?

Jelly i think you need to question that about the nhs classes as mine are weekly over 4 weeks for 2 hours a time, so must be more than breastfeeding, I really had to push with my midwife that sounds really odd as they do run nhs classes, they want you to pay its wrong! unless you want to of course

You have a generous famly like ours! Peasedown isnt bad to live in I used to live there and Radstock/Midsomer Norton is lovely to, only takes 25 mins to commute into Bath and very regular bus service.

Names well we have gone through so many I absolutely love the name Finlae Ray but DH does not like it, so the name we have atm is just an idea and we are keeping it close to our chests! Needless to say its unusualbut then thats what our families would expect of us!

Are you stil working and if so when do you start maternity leave? xx

Report
jellybean86 · 29/10/2009 09:58

I did question and thats the response i got. My midwife is pretty rubbish though!

Dont think i would like to move as far as Radstock/MSN, i bearly know anyone in Bath, would prob feel completely out of the loop then!

Aww Finlae Ray is a lush name! We wanted Jacob if it was a boy. Were torn between Amber, Amy-Leigh and Ellie Mae. Its so hard to decide!

Yeah im still working, im only working part time as a nanny though as i got made redundant right before i fell pregnant and couldnt find a full time job. :-(

Ive no idea when im going to start my maternity leave. Maybe two weeks before? Or even up till the last minute i might work depending how money situation works out.

What about you?

xx

hmm perhaps contact the manager of the department and enquire....

Radstock is not to bad I prefer it to Bath but then again I am not a city person at all, I lived in Southdown for a short period of time and got totally put of then!

Ellie-Mae is a lovely name!! All your choices are soo sweet but its such a tough choce as its one to stay with baby for thier life! scarey first decision we are making for our children!

I have already finished work! Well im on holiday till 5th November then straight into Mat leave as my job involved standing for 8 hours at a time without even a sit down break and I needed to put my health first along with babies, plus I was very unhappy there! Financially it will be tough but we have lived skint before and can do it again if we need to.

Was looking and see your about 4 weeks behind me time will fly by for you! Are you feeling her move alot more? Im literally being kicked all day and all night, I predict I have a very active and very big boy in here! lol xx

Can't believe you guys are being given the run around about ante-natal classes. I on the otherhand haven't been offered any and probably won't take them up on it if I did - been there, done that...With my daughter I'd dutily attended my ones to be the only person there bar midwife and my husband so a complete waste of time!!!

Lovely names girls - one word of warning JellyBean, my daughter had 4 Ellie's as friends, so it's a very popular name at the moment if that's something you were taking into consideration, a gorgeous name though which is why so many people are choosing it! We're going for Fraser William at the moment, which is about the only name I could get my H to agree on and TBH I've stop thinking of names so I think we've found the one - but only time will tell.

Hope you're both having a good day. Mine's involving argueing with a gobby 3 year old and trying to do the housework (nesting has set in already!!)

hey Aims! your day is sounding rather more productive than mine! I shall commence nesting once my new drawers arrive and I can put clothes away etc!

In the meantime im poorly so posting on another thread for that!

Did you say your having baby at RUH too? Fraser William is lovely we contemplated William for a short while then changed minds its essential Raymond is babies middle name but like yu we think we have the name for him now in fact sod it i will share, we are thinking of Austin Raymond.....

Im watching programmes on C4 catchup, dvd's and generally doing a spot of nothing but then i need to!

Fair play! Might aswell enjoy 'you time' before little one comes along. What was your job? Yeah im feeling her move loads now, especially the last few days, although i feel like her legs are right down in my bits!! Lol. Im still finding it hard to believe there is a baby inside, at the moment i feel like an alien has taken over my body! Do we get any more scans? Or is the 20 week one the last? And are you eating healthy? Im finding it so hard and just wanna eat junk!xx
