Just wondering if anyone who has suffered from prenatal depression.
Ive been feeling low for some time, and googled it and i seem to fit the criteria.

Bit scared to be honest. Should i visit my GP?

How did you get though it and come out the other side?

Thanks xxx

Please please please go to your GP.

I have had regular depression not PND and I wouldnt wish it upon an enemy. But you definitely come out the other side.

The sooner you can get help, the better.

Big hugs

xx

I think I have it - although it is showing itself as anxiety - panicky etc rather than crying all the time.

Tried to speak to the midwife today, but couldn't get hold of her.

Will try again otherwise its my GP.

Please don't leave it - get help its the only way.

Good luck

I had depression whilst pregnant (although don't think it was ante-natal depression).

I went to the doctor and was soon taking anti-depressants which helped me a lot.

Please speak to your GP.

I had it and didn't get it treated. I should have. My mum was convinced I was going to have PND because of it (and admittedly there is a link) but I didn't. I was just desperate to get my baby in my arms safe and sound, every week of pregnancy was torture. I started to relax around week 30 because I figured that if born then he would probably survive.

Be kind to yourself. Speak to your midwife. Get help. Don't be me.
