I got mine yesterday (cheapy gym ball from argos) - so far I am sitting on it instead of slumping on the setee and also have been kind of lying over it on all fours and doing a little hip waggle. So anyone else?

Much the same really, if I can wrestle it from the ds's, who have alot of fun with it.

yes my dd's love it too - dd2 aged 3 was perplexed as to why my ball doesn't have handles though - she thought it was a giant space hopper! . Now there's an idea to get labour started....

I'm bouncing while typing - bit of hip circling, not doing well with contax and threatened induction tommorrow...

I bought one from ebay (new though) recently and its a godsend! am 30 weeks now and sitting on sofa is very umcomfortable (must be the slumping position) but perched on the ball I can bounce and watch Eastenders happily without having to pace around the room! Also, I am stretchin my legs side to side and rotating hips, holding a door handle and table either side I can get quite a bit of movement, it has reduced the sciatica I've suddenly been getting to a mild hum instead of a paralysing screech of pain, so thats wonderful. Also, putting it higher, like on the sofa, and bending over it head in hands when VERY achy has helped me but confused DH no end...

HBOB I laughed at your reply, in my first pregnancy we were a bit strapped for cash but I had bad sciatica, pelvic pain etc and physio recommended birthing ball! my DP refused to pay the money as we had a perfectly good space hopper at home somewhere.

He actually went home and seeked it out, blew it up and made me bounce around on a big bloody orange ball with a smiley face and ears! my nosy neighbours must have a had a right laugh at my expense. But it did the job!

lola - just love that image .

I rocked forwards and back, side to side, round & round and figures of 8.

heres another one: putting it on the bed and sitting back against it, lovely support!

I might get a space hopper instead - does that count??

Mine is from argos as well, but I don't seem to be able to get it pumped up enough so I don't know if it's doing the job properly. Isn't the point so that you are tipped forward?
