Pregnancy

29 weeks - is this morning sickness or have I eaten something dodgy?

This is my second pregnancy, I've never had morning sickness before but today and 1 day last week I have been completely wiped out with all day nausea, burping, wind and generally feeling awful. Am I experiencing morning sickness for the first time or have I eaten something dodgy or just got a bug?

That's not morning sickness. You've either eaten something dodgy or it's a bug. Hope you get well soon, if not see your GP.

Thanks belgo - just wanted to check before making a fuss and being told it's a pregnancy symptom.

That sounds like my entire pregnancies! But obviously if you're worried, get it checked out. I have had returns of morning sickness at various later stages (including a bit today), normally when I am run down, have slept particularly badly or am not eating frequently enough, As for the wind - I get that to varying degrees all the way through. Am 29+5 today so similar to you and it's particularly bad today.

I'm not sure if it's severe enough to warrant getting checked out yet - besides the surgery will be closed now. I just feel really rotten and fed up and looking after 18 month old isn't helping!

If I'm not feeling any better tomorrow will give the mw a call.

I had third trimester MS with DD. I know a few people that were only sick in the 3rd trimester. We don't all follow the pregnancy manual!
Hope you feel better soon
