Pregnancy

How were your two or more pregnancies different? Do you think it was related to the gender of the baby?

DD- no vomiting, a tiny bit of nausea, completely exhausted, heartburn from 14 weeks and boobs of torture from 10 days after conception, only ate sweet food.

This one - terrible all day nausea, occasional vomming, not tired (although early nights to get away from the sickness), painless boobs and no heartburn until 24 weeks, craving fish and veggies more than ice cream.

And it's... another girl.

Thanks MrsHappy, are you feeling better?

Anyone else?

I'm the reverse of MrsHappy...

DS1 - No appetite during first trimester. Fell really nauseous throughout first trimester. Not tired - worked till 38th week (DS1 was born a week later!). Went off chocolate and craved savoury food. Ate lots of noodles (DS1's womb name was noodles!). Blood test results all over the place. High NT risk etc etc but born healthy.

This one - No morning sickness. Didn't feel pregnant at all in first tri. Second tri - Extremely tired. Craved and ate everything from day one. Weird cravings - smoked salmon and sushi and beef!

And it's... another boy!

My 2 pregnancies were very different......

DD - cleaning teeth made me heave, smell of certain veg made me heave , went off all pulses, was generally good-tempered

DS - no problem cleaning teeth, went off fish, had blocked sinuses, was very, very bad-tempered (like 9 months of PMT - poor dh and dd!)

DD - puked like a teenager on alcopops for the girl. Couldn't eat a thing.

DS - slight nausea and went off chicken. A bit.

Almost identical both times - no morning sickness, raging heartburn and a craving for marmite on toast, marmite crisps and apples.

Girl then a boy

DD - totally lost appetite, awful nausea until about 24 weeks. Loads of sickness. Looked and felt like shite. Lots of bleeding throughout. Just generally knackering and pretty hideous pregnancy. Very emotional

This pregnancy - mild nausea but no sickness. Constantly hungry, craving sweet stuff especially. Blocked sinuses and headaches. Massive and painful boobs.

Will watch thread - should find out gender in a couple of weeks

Claire 2009 - are you mad working that late?

I had nausea up til 20 weeks both pregnancies and then horrid acid indegestion in the evening after that. Had a girl first time round and don't know yet with this one. Seem to have been quite spotty. Any chance that means a boy screwing with my hormones???

DS - absolutely fine
DD - Constantly nauseous, killer headaches, had to eat constantly otherwise would start retching, felt like death until about 20 weeks.

with dd and ds, my pregnancies were great, no sickness, carried on working til almost the end (39 weeks with dd actually). No problems.

This pregnancy has been a nightmare, sickness, so tired I can barely think most days, eating constantly, problems with breathlessness and a 'sensitive uterus'! This one is also a ds.

So no dont think its gender related

Ds 1- felt slightly nauseous on waking, but great apart from that, carried him mainly up front! Put on 2 stone

Ds2 - felt quite tired until about 16 weeks, was sick until 13 weeks (not every day though) carried him in my thighs! put on 3 stone

This time felt rubbish from week 6, only been sick a few times, but constantly tired and had lots of spotting. I'm only 22 weeks but already he/she is growing into my thighs again! Refusing to weigh myself so no idea how much I've put on.
Don't know sex of this one

Each of me 3 pregnancys couldn't have been more different.

I carried different gained different amounts of weight.

On my 3rd pregnancy i was sick for the first 20 weeks.

I have 3 DS so from my experience there is KNOW truth whatsover in all the oldwives tales though it is nice to hear people guessing what you are going to have.

I had my head in the toilet pretty much all the time for the first two trimestre with DD1 and only survived on the very balanced diet of coke (the drink, not the powdery stuff) and carrots.
ds2,ds3 and dd4 where like not being pregnant at all I always thought it was because my body got used to having some foreign organism in it!

TTBMP I hope you feel better soon, I have got horrible memories of what it was like to not be able to go out without 5 or 6 carrier bags "just in case"...
