33+1 gone.I have got some rather large veins that are extreamly painful , causing aching legs and swollen feet.Huge amount of pressure in pubic area.
Couldnt even stand last night.
MW advises 'put your feet up' to take pressure off and wear tights with a gusset!! Very helpful in this heat with an 17 month old! .
Any advice or other sufferers?

No advice but just so you don't feel alone. I too had this, and only in my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies ( I am assuming you too are new to them). They disappeared as soon as the baby was born. No consolation I know, given your stage. Do as the doctor say- try to get your feet up, literally- raise them, periodically throughout the day.

Thanks. I had never heard of it. Having googled it it would appear its quite common with no cure.just a case of getting on with it and resting when possible.

hi snala. I had this too from about 28 weeks with DD2- very painful, I really sympathise. I used to put a sanitary pad in the fridge for a couple of hours (in a little placcy bag of course!) then wear it in the (ahem) normal way. Very cooling and also provides some counter-pressure if you buy the more expensive shaped ones.

Clearly the downside is that you are not currently budgeting for sanitary protection but I found it really relieved the aching.

I am suffering from VV on my vulva. Most uncomfotable. MW has suggested putting a pack of frozen peas in the swollen area in the morning and at night. It's not very dignified, but it is soothing and can help reduce the swelling.
