Stabbing pains in early pregnancy

I'm 8 weeks pregnant now.
I had some short sharp stabbing pains about 3 times one after the other yesterday evening I don't know if it was because i'd just eaten not long ago or because i reached down to pick up my 13 month old baby from her cot. I also have PCOS but i didn't feel pains like this with my first pregnancy.

Is this normal? have you had pains like this?

I had pains like that, but mine was after chansing a baby rabbit round the room on my hands and knees, so that could explain it (softening of pelvic bone and all that)

chocolate - i had those in early PG - think it's just from the ligaments stretching as your uterus and everything shifts about

I had nasty stabbing pains early on in pregnancy with all three pregnancies. I also had the dull ache of period pains that would sometimes last a few hours. Seems it must be normal!

I had pains too. I was told it was things beginning to move about a little as the uterus starts growing. Unless they are constant and agonising I was told not to worry

My nanny had these and still has them from time to time. The hosp said it was normal just your body adjusting.

Reassuring to hear that. I had a stabbing pain last night after picking something up off floor and then again just ten mins ago as I was sitting at computer. Were they low down across base of lower abdomen, towards groin? Is that uterus territory (all these things I'm finding out!)

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

Elly
