Pregnancy

Not even 10 weeks and I am in agony. Advice please!

It started earlier today. The back of my left buttock is aching, but it's my knee that is unbearable. I haven't pulled anything in it or strained it, but I could barely walk 200 yards earlier.

I would describe the pain as a constant and extremely painful ache (so much so it had me in tears earlier - there must be a stronger word than ache to describe it).

It's not swollen or hot. No position seems to relieve it.

I had Pelvic Girdle Pain in my last preg, but not til 22 weeks and that was different.

Could it be sciatica? I've no idea what that feels like and all the descriptions focus on shooting pains down the thigh - which I don't have.

Argh! It hurts so much and I can't take ibuprofen. I can't get to a doctor tomorrow (really can't - there's just too much on), I've got a knee support so I'm hoping to hobble through the day.

Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone know what this is?

All help really, really, really welcome.

It's PGP, but it is similar to SPD, and this doesn't feel like that (not to say it isn't).

Thanks for the reply - will look them up.

I'm a bit slow PGP and SPD are different terms for the same thing.

i thought as much.

I am sorry i can't suggest anything. I had spd form 26 weeks, till my dd was about 5 yrs old, and know how it is. I would say that the hormones are kicking in. I had a subsequesnt pregnancy that didn't go to term, and my spd paincame back at about 7 weks.

It sounds like the sciatic nerve to me?
