really have nothing to complain about - 8+5 weeks pg and not much ms so i should be delighted, but the last few days i have just felt really down and cant seem to cheer myself up.

ds is 13 months and i am really tired with him being a bad sleeper, but i feel more down than that normally makes me.

anyone else the same - otherwise feel free just to kick me up the backside and tell me to cheer up.

Bump for you Conker.

I'm generally feeling a bit down because I'm still suffering with morning sickness 7 weeks after it started. Probably just those pesky hormones playing havoc with your body. I must admit I'm 12 weeks and I can't say I have enjoyed the 1st trimester at all. The private scan we had at week 10 was prob the only moment of joy in the whole time so far.

I was a grumpy bugger too. That doesn't really help though....
Not much you can do about it, as it is probably the hormones. Also you are probably more tired than you would be normally? But it does come and go, and did get better in 2nd trimester for me. Though I had a bad phase at around 14 weeks, lots of crying and being a pain in the bum.

Conker- I'm with you on feeling down. I just cant seem to be happy at the moment. It might be something to do with the headaches and knackeredness that i'm experiencing.

Dh said to me this evening " Do I look miserable when i'm feeling ill too?"

So thats good, not only do I feel miserable but I look miserable too.

I'm sure it will pass as we move into the next trimester and start to get our energy levels back.

Hope you start to feel better soon tho.

Hi conkertree

I'm having good days and bad days too. Feel free to come grumble whenever you need, it helps to have an outlet. Roll on 2nd trimester, this bit is rubbish. Soon we will all be blooming and revoltingly cheery!

38 weeks and feel really flat, finish work tomorrow, ribs killing and want to try and get him out now as really had enough! Have been on and off the reaspberry tea tablets for a week or so but everyone says they don't work anyway. Uncomfy sitting, being in car and lying down! Comfy standing so maybe try sleeping standing up tomight! Hopefully will all be worth it in the end and I won't be so grumpy :-)

hi ladies

I'm week 14+5 now. I was so sick and miserable earlier on but it has been getting better.

This is my first baby and I wasn't expecting to be as sick as I have been. My sickness started after I got flu in week 6. I had hypermesis gravitas at week 9 and was puking every hour day and night. Even water and rehydration liquid make me feel sick. I recommend mashed potatoes for this as they always stayed down. I felt like I couldn't continue and wanted to give up.

I am considerably improved since then, but am still tired and have been sick each morning this week. Monday was different though, I felt normal but its gone down hill a bit since then.

I still need to eat every 2 hours to stop the nausea though. I can now sleep for 6 hours at night before I have to get up for a snack. As it is improving, I assume it will go away completely.
I have terrible wind though and upset bowls too. Its a bit embarrassing.

Have you tired acupuncture? I had three sessions in week 12 and another in week 14 and I swear it helped. I'm considering one more session to bring it all together.

I also force myself to go for a walk each day, even if its just 20 minutes. Fresh air and some daylight on your skin helps.

Chin up. We'll get through it.

Yes, conkertree. Miserable + insomnia + pounding headaches + morning sickness. Yuck. Very different to my first pregnancy. Hoping things will change very soon. I'm now 17 weeks.
