Can anyone tell the position of their baby? Midwife says head down, but I'm unsure

I'm 35 weeks. I went to midwife last week and she said DS is head down, but I'm unsure. I mainly feel movement on my right side, right in the middle, nowhere else really. The odd time I do feel movement elsewhere its across the middle of my belly. I remember with my last 2 pregnancies being kicked in the ribs all the time, which would say the babies were definitely head down. I just can't work out what is popping up where, can anyone else figure out exactly what is what? Maybe I should trust the midwife and take her word for it, I just have this feeling that he's lying across, not head down.

I didnt believe mine either and tried to feel myself - I didnt have a clue and couldnt feel anything!!

I had kicks on my left side and in the middle. Towards the end you could see a hand or foot move across my bump and it was always in the middle. Dd was lying on my right side with her back to my right. I never had kicks to my ribs just the middle of my bump.

I can feel where the head is because of the constant hiccupping - no idea about anything else, though.

My midwife got it totally wrong and said head down when he was still breech - if you're unsure could you have it checked by your GP? Interestingly my GP got it right and my midwife got it wrong! Where's the heartbeat coming from? That's a good test.

My MW said that the fact that I can feel kicking mainly on the middle/top right shows that my baby is on the left, head down so sounds similar to what your mw said to you. Can you feel the back middle left?

I can't feel any movement really on the left. I do feel him hiccup quite down below so maybe she's right. I just don't want to go into labour and find out I can't deliver normally because he's in the wrong position.

I'd ask to get a second opinion if you're not sure, as I found it hard to get my head round preparing mentally for the birth when I thought he was head down, up, down then up again! Just make an appointment with your GP and they can check for you, if you don't want to see your midwife again.
