yes my sister is getting married and she has threatened to cry if I don't agree to be a bridesmaid. its laughable really!!

My incredibly talented mother is making the dresses, but I have no idea what styles are available - I would actually still like to look pretty and as un-tent-like as possible.....

help? please?

Look at Seraphine, Isabella Oliver etc on the web - there are some very passable dresses out there

I am being a bridesmaid in 4 weeks - when 28weeks pregnant!!

My friend has done a fab job of finding us all dresses which look lovely and very SATC. They are creamy gold, knee length, with straps (thankfully she decided against strapless as i have norks which way 3 stone!). They have a really pretty flower detail in the centre and a nice ruffle so it disguises the bump but you can still see it if that makes sense! and, thank god, she has opted for us all wearing flat ballet pumps (phew!).

There are some nice styles out there so have a good look and i am sure you will find something nice and pretty.

Oh and you might want to wear some kind of support for the bump if you are having to stand up a lot - something to bear in mind. I am 8 months and would be constantly sitting down!

Ooh, those v-neck Watters ones with the sash are lovely.

Wish I were about to be a pregnant bridesmaid, sigh.

oh petitfilou thank you, you are so right and I had never thought of it. By 8 months last time I would have been better rolling down the aisle- but I'm so excited! thank you to everyone for suggestions
