why wouldn't you? I'm sure it's fine. It's tuna they're worried about because of pos mercury. I always buy organic though but that bit's up to you.

Even soft cheese is ok if it's cooked. And although it's not ideal or pleasant, it's not always life threatening to get these things: I had salmonella while pregnant with dd and she's fine.

I've been eating loads of smoked salmon. I think we are supposed to avoid unpasturised cheeses and cheeses with mould (blue cheeses) as the mould contains toxins, shell fish and undercooked food. At least that's all I've been doing.

Smoked salmon was my one and only pregnancy craving. I ate a pack of it every day. The only harm it did was to my bank balance

I thought shell fish was ok, as long as it was cooked? I've eaten quite a few prawns during this pg.... SMoked salmon definitely ok, and I think even raw/under cooked eggs if they have the lion stamp on them (from certified listeria free hens?)... enjoy christmas!

the only things i'm not eating this pg are soft/blue cheese, pate & tuna. but actually, i don't like any of them.... definitely eating smoked salmon, prawns, ready-prepared salad & nuts. ok so far.
