Early pregnancy symptoms come and go

Hi everyone,

I found out I was pregnant last week and believe I am 5-6 weeks along. I had the initial tender to touch boobs, skin breakout and peeing more in the night. Then my symptoms started to come and go.

I had a few very fleeting moments of nausea, last night being the last time, and I’ve been having mild cramps, however today I have nothing?

My boobs have stopped being so tender over the past few days, they feel heavy and definitely different but not so tender to touch.

It’s my first pregnancy and I’m probably doing the typical panic here and I know I shouldn’t be worrying about not being sick but part of me wants the reassurance that the nausea brings. Is it normal to be perfectly fine one day? Should I be worried now if I haven’t felt any symptoms today?

Thanks!!

Symptoms come and go. That's completely normal.
Symptoms really don't mean much at all as long as you're not bleeding.

Also doesn't mean anything about the pregnancy if they don't return. I've never had symptoms apart from sore boobs occasionally that come and go week by week

Thanks @SnooperTrooper12345 ! That’s reassuring. I read one worrying line about symptoms disappearing on google, and now I can’t get it out of my head.

I really wish it was told to more people because so so many people worry about it! ❤️

I feel the same - I’m 5+6 and at the beginning I had really sore boobs, but now some days they aren’t sore at all. Sometimes I feel shattered and other times I feel fine. I’ve had losses before and I found I still had symptoms even when I was miscarrying so after MANY a google and mumsnet search I’ve decided to only worry if I start bleeding.

It’s really hard though when every pregnancy article seems to talk about nausea as though everyone gets it, I’ve only had a couple of mild waves.

I kind of want to feel symptoms all the time for reassurance but it just doesn’t seem to work that way xx

Unfortunately having symptoms doesn't do much for reassurance as with a miscarriage and missed miscarriage, hcg is still in your system.

I had sore boobs and nausea for 4 weeks after my miscarriage ❤️

@Cafeaulait27 I'm the same with wanting to feel symptoms! A close friend of mine is currently pregnant too and she is a couple of months ahead but she had constant sickness so I'm comparing myself to her. Now, I really don't want to be that pregnant person who complains about not feeling sick because I know it can be AWFUL for some people but, I feel so relieved when I have waves of nausea. So silly but, until I have a scan that's my only reassurance!

I guess the best thing we can do is not worry too much and stress our bodies out 🥰

I'm concerned about symptoms going too. Today I had a sharp cramp in my abdomen and lower back so very worried about miscarriage.

Symptoms don't disappear with a miscarriage. Sharp pains can also be normal.
As long as its not accompanied by bleeding

Would bleeding accompany the cramping or take a few days?

Its so hard not to be worried isn't it, especially when you start googling?

Same! Mines at 5pm! My OH can't come in with me due to covid, you're so lucky your OH is allowed in!

@Conundrum12345 as its a private scan he can come with me, he wont be allowed for the 12week scan unfortunately. Thats part of the reason we've paid for an early private one. As its our first we wanted to see the first scan together
