Same thing happened to me lovely, except my DS was only 3 months old when I fell pregnant. I found out when he was 4 months old and I was terrified! The pregnancy was a challenge in itself, so running round after a baby whilst pregnant was tough. Same with when she was born, yes it was a challenge but I'm not SO glad I had my children so close together. They have the most amazing relationship, they're very close and I honestly think that's down to them being on such a similar level, so they can play and talk about things they both like. Of course you need to do what's right for your family, but just thought I'd offer a glimmer of hope that it can work. More than one child is hard no matter the age gap I think. Are you leaning one way or the other more? Do you have a partner or friends and family to chat to about this?

My biggest advice would be to not expect too much of yourself. I wanted everything to be perfect and happy but that doesn't always happen. You will have days where you struggle and cry and think 'i can't do this' and that's totally normal! Mums feel that way no matter how many children they have or how old they are. You'll also have days where things are amazing and you'll want to pinch yourself Grin just take it a day at a time and ENJOY your babies. My children are 7&8 now and I definitely miss them being little. Good luck to you! Xx

I found out I was pregnant when my baby was 6 months old. I was initially shocked and a bit horrified but got over that quickly! I love having them so close in age now

My eldest two have 11 months separating them. It was hard work but you get through, there are moments of despair and moments of pure joy (as with all of life!) Keep an eye on your own wellbeing, it is very easy to get lost in the hubbub.

I have a 13 month age gap and found out, like you, when my eldest was only 5 months old. Our youngest daughter wasn't planned and although it wasn't easy when they were small if I had my time again I would choose this age gap. My two (17 and 18 yrs now) are very close and always have been.
