Tight painful feeling around top of bump

Hey I’m 32+5 weeks FTM and was wondering if anyone has experienced pain around the top of your bump like someone pulling a band tight And the pain radiates through to your right shoulder?, it started with rib pain which I put down to my little girl kicking me but come the evening its like someone is pulling a band so tight around my ribs and the aching/pain in my right shoulder blade is becoming harder to deal with. Just wondered if this sounds normal or something I should bother my midwife with.

You should get checked for pre eclampsia, rib and shoulder pain is one of the symptoms. Hopefully nothing but not worth taking the risk

Rib pain and shoulder tip pain can be a symptom of something more serious, contact the midwife 👍

Thank you, is it worth ringing triage? Can’t get hold of my midwife, I’ve had it for a week so is there any urgency.

Yes I would. Best case scenario baby has just been bumping you too hard and there's nothing to worry about. But they'd much rather rule it out
