Anyone else struggling?

I’m 34 wks and finding things a bit difficult, just wondered if anyone feels the same, as I feel a bit of a failure for admitting it. I was doing great until about 6 weeks ago and started with terrible insomnia (get about 2 hrs sleep a night) and just feel really emotional. This week it’s horrendous indigestion so bad I can’t really eat or breathe. I’d always thought I was “stronger” than succumbing to hormones etc but I’ve been a bit of a mess lately. Think my DHis getting a bit fed up. I know I’m relatively very lucky as both me and baby are healthy - and many others have it far worse- but I guess that makes me feel even guiltier for not just getting on with things!

I totally get it. My baby’s coming up big, I’m huge, uncomfortable and the insomnia is tough. It’s hard knowing we’ve still got time left before there here! And don’t even get me started on indigestion, drinking gaviscon like pop lol 😂

I was fine and worked up until I went into labour with ds, this time I'm 34 weeks and I'm tired emotional and don't know how I'm going to manage another 5-6 weeks.
Its hard work being pregnant.

Being pregnant complete sucks. It can be really horrible. Dont ever feel bad for feeling like c**p. I am only 22 weeks, but this is my second DD, and I know how you feel. I barely slept between week 33 and birth. I went to work (secondary teacher) and all people said was 'you think you are tired now? Wait til the baby comes'. Ridiculiualy unhelpful, considering when she did arrive I actually slept so I felt ten times better.

All you can do is survive it and know its 100% worth it. Oh and dont worry about DH. He just needs to get on with it too. Life is hard for both of you, but its definitely worse for you, so he needs to have patience.

Ever seen 'what to expect when you are expecting'? Very accurate about how pregnancy is a glowing time for some, and a nightmare for others.

Yes and I admit until 6 weeks ago I was a bit smug about “how well I was doing” and now it’s just hit me like a ton of bricks. I can’t imagine getting any bigger or more uncomfortable (altho I know I will) and I’m just dreading the actual arrival - as I think if I’m already struggling how will I cope with a newborn!

I’m the last in our friendship group to have a baby and just feel pressure to carry on as normal as they keep saying “you think it’s bad now, wait until you have a toddler” etc. Which is annoying as I gave them loads of sympathy when it was their time!

More I just feel pathetic and somehow need to pull myself together. Any tips?

Don't feel guilty OP!

I went to bed as soon as my DD who's three, fell asleep at 7pm tonight. Currently 29 weeks with DD2 and having a little self indulgent pity party to myself...

Baby measuring big so likely to need scan at 34 weeks. Bump feels massive.
She's currently breech.
Heartburn beyond belief.
Newly diagnosed with Group B Strep.
Currently have a UTI so on antibiotics.
Having to drink an aspirin every night as I had one borderline high blood pressure reading when I was in labour with DD1...
All that combined with the sheer exhaustion of three months wfh full time with DD to look after with no nursery.

September cannot come quickly enough!!!
Hang in there x

@vinoelle I have a toddler. I can confirm it's much easier than being heavily pregnant. With a toddler you sleep and dont ache.

People can be so thoughtless with their comments. I promise its not as bad as people say.

Have baths, take time to relax when you can, get DH to give your back a bit of a rub, try read positive things Flowers

I feel exactly the same... Not really anyone to tell either, my family are lovely husband super supportive but I feel under so much pressure to be ok... My bump is huge uncomfortable and getting no sleep, told to sheild so I'm home with not much to do.
I find myself in the bath most days to relax a little but even that seems stressful!!

I've now started a routine of milky drink B4 bed and if peckish a banana apparently good for helping you sleep... We will see!!

🙏 Tonight we all sleep well and feel refreshed and relaxed moving forward xx

With you all on this ladies- 35 weeks and baby is measuring big (95th percentile) , bump feels huge and everyone who sees me just has to point out how 'enormous' I am. Can't sleep more than a few hours as so uncomfortable and I think I'm
Starting to get SPD as pelvis is so sore to walk. Stuck between I just want her here now to feel back to normal coupled with sheer fear and anxiety about how to keep a tiny human alive.. 😳
