CONFUSED!!!

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has had any similar experiences or can shed some light on what could be happening? We are trying for baby number 2 , baby 1 was conceived very quickly. On Sunday I started to feel very pregnant similar symptoms to my first pregnancy I did a cheap pregnancy test and got a positive line , the next day I did another test and got another very faint positive line this is 5 days before expected period. Since then I've been doing clear blue pregnancy tests and every single one of them has been negative , I've been using the first wee of the day and following all instructions. I'm now one day late on my period which is very uncommon for me , I religiously come on my period every month on the exact day my app says I have never gone over. All I'm wanting to know really is if it's possible to be pregnant and not be picking up enough hcg for a test yet??

Clear blue tests aren't very sensitive at all. I'd recommend a first response tests with your FMU.

clearblue If it's the one with the weeks indicator are actually very sensitive - 10miu so only a bit more than a first response

I'd say unfortunately this is a chemical pregnancy. I've had a couple and my period was then late by a few days but did appear usually after 5-10 days

Pink dye tests tend to be more sensitive and better at picking up early pregnancy so it could be that as you are testing very, very early.

Unfortunately, it could also have been a chemical pregnancy which you wouldn't normally know about and you will come on your period around the normal time.

The only thing you can do now is wait. Good luck.
