Has anyone had the same and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? The sac was only 12.5mm so small for dates. The sonography said my dates might be a bit off but I only had sec once in two months so I know they aren’t off. I have to go back in two weeks but that’s a long time!

You may have ovulated late or other variables. Also the baby grows so sporadically before 12 weeks you can be behind one week and way ahead the next. I hope it's good news for you when you go back!

It's so easy for measurements/dates to be out in early pregnancy.....you're literally talking about millimetres...and It's rare to see anything on a scan before 6 weeks.
Maybe you just ovulated a bit later than you thought? (sperm can survive inside of you for something like 5 or 6 days).

I had a scan when i should have been 7+5 by LMP but baby only measured 6+1. She'd caught up by a week at my dating scan and I'm now over 30 weeks.

I blither on about this constantly but, my ivf twins had totally different gestational age on every scan sometimes 2 weeks difference One is a little delicate person so I guess it's just genetics

Thanks all. I know it might be ok but it seems an outside slim chance. If they’d at least seen a yolk sac I’d feel more optimistic as yolk sacs should be seen at 5 and a half weeks. I also have no sickness and previous pregnancies I’ve been quite sick.

Unfortunatly my friend went through this, saw a sac at what was supposed to be 7+3 but dated 5+5 had a follow up scan where they saw an embryo dated 7+2 two week laters with a heart beat, booked with a different private scan place another two weeks later the embryo hadn't grown at all and the heart beat was slow, she eventually lost the pregnancy. If your surgeon dates I'd hope for the best but sadly prepare for the worse in this case
