Pregnancy

I think I’m losing my baby

I’m 7 weeks and yesterday noticed blood when I wiped. Called the EPU and they told me to monitor and call back if the bleeding gets worse or I get pain/cramps. There was blood every time I went to the toilet. This morning the bleeding is worse and red (was pink yesterday). I called EPU and waiting for them to call me back. This can’t be good though can it? I’m terrified. It took me so long to get pregnant too, I just can’t believe this is happening 😭

I'm so sorry to hear that. Try not to panic, I know it's hard not to. Lots of people experience bleeding in pregnancy for all kinds of reasons and go on to have a healthy baby. If you're not experiencing pain with the bleeding, that's a good sign. Hold on to hope. Everything crossed for you.

I had pretty heavy bleeding at between 6-7 weeks, I currently have a very healthy baby girl.
When I miscarried there was no bleeding or pain until it was medically managed.
Fingers crossed for you op ❤️

Scary, isn't it? Try to stay positive till you know more. It can go either way.

My cousin thought she had a miscarriage. Clots and everything. Well she did but she didn't know that it was twins. She miscarried one and the other was fine. Not ideal, but the fact that she was still going to have a child helped her get over the worst quite quickly.

Just been to the EPU they took bloods and urine samples and said they’ll get me a scan within a week. I guess it’s going to be a long week

Do you have the money for a private scan? Friend of mine had one recently and was surprised that it was £60. Not terribly expensive

That is a long time to wait. Definitely see if you can get a private scan if you can afford it

Hey i had a big bleed around 6+4 weeks and I thought the worst then yesterday had a scan after waiting a whole week! And there was a heartbeat :) but I do have a bleed near the pregnancy but I've had that before so nothing to worry about, all the best for your scan but just carry on as your pregnant and try to enjoy it because its not over till its over x
