I remember when I was pregnant with dd I took raspberry leaf tea tablets and massaged almond oil on my perenium....but when is the safe time to do these things to prepare for labour?

34-36 weeks as J20 says. If you start getting strong/ uncomfortable braxton hicks then stop with the raspberry leaf tea as that can make them worse.
I had both and was about to start taking them when was booked in for c-section. Now use the almond oil for baby massage! LOL!

It's meant to "ripen the cervix" or something Julie . I've been drinking the tea. Apparently it doesn't induce labour but is supposed to help make labour a bit shorter. I have no idea if it's true or not but there's no harm in trying!

Ah Dal, didn't know that about the raspberry leaf tea, only been taking it for two days but co-incidentally I just mentioned on the ante natal threads that my BH's have suddenly got worse the past couple of days too... didn't think it would work that quick though
