Baby Bottles Help??

Sorry if this seems really stupid to ask (not had a baby in 9 years) Trying to get organised and bought some bottles in a baby event, saw that the tommee tippee advanced colic ones were in offer and bought. Now some people are saying to me that you shouldnt really get them unless your baby has colic?? Also that they are really fiddly and time consuming? Is this correct? When I had my son all them years ago I just used normal tommee tippee bottles and had no bother at all....

Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations xx

Anti-colic bottles aren’t going to do any harm. There’s no reason you shouldn’t use them even if baby doesn’t have colic. They just have vents that help filter away air bubbles! My DD didn’t have comic but did typical wind issues & I think they helped!

They def can be more fiddly to clean! We used Dr Brown’s anti-colic and you have the bottle, teat, the bit the test goes in & two sections of valve (one having loadsa tiny areas you needed to use a teeny tiny brush for). I wouldn’t say it was that time consuming, maybe an extra minute per bottle to clean?! You also need more space in your steriliser to fit all the parts, so we did all 6 bottles in two loads.

You can buy self sterilising bottles now, I’m gona go for MAM Anti-Colic this time I think!

I personally wouldn’t waste money buying anymore. See if your baby gets on with them. Mine didn’t seem to like the teat on Tommee Tippee, hence we changed to Dr Brown! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Babies can be very particular! Better to wait til baby comes & see how you all get on with them!

I have the TT for my 13 week old. Yes there's an extra part to wash and sterilise but not really a big deal for me

I've used them since day 1.... she's never had more then normal wind. Maybe she would have suffered more without them. I'll never know 🤷‍♀️
