waters breaking, stupid question I know!

My waters were broken for me last time so no idea. I woke this morning and went off to loo, loads of watery creamy coloured stuff flowing out. Is it likely to be waters or just CM? Are waters really like water?
I have been having practice contractions for a few days now but stopped again.
Feel really stupid asking.

No idea.... sorry. Just keeping it bumped. Hope someone more useful comes along. I would call MW and possibly pop along to get checked out just in case.

Waters are like water. If you weren't pregnant you'd think it was wee you couldn't control. I guess it could have been waters mixed with CM but it would be continous (though to contradict that I've heard the baby's head can act as a plug).

Better call the experts I guess!

Lisa;
It sounds like the early indications of what went wrong (a lot, lot earlier I hasten to add...17 wks) with me last time...though I had something similar this time and it turned out to be just thrush, like J20...
Get yourself to the MW or the hospital and get it checked out...I know you must be sick of the sight of the place but much better to be safe than sorry. Thinking of you. Keep us posted

Waters very watery, and have a very distinctive smell. Not unpleasant, but very distinctive.

Lisa hope all is well with you honey.... When my waters broke they were very profuse, looked a lot like water but with white bits in (which is the covering of stuff a bit like E45 cream that the lo has on their skin - there is more of this if they are early I am told). If you haven't already give your mw a shout and let us know how you get on xxxxxxx
