Upper tummy/under rib pain

I’m 17 +6 weeks pregnant and last night I suddenly had really bad tummy ache and rib pain, especially when I was sat down. I managed to find a comfy position in bed and it feels much better today. Should I be worried?

I had ongoing rib pain on right hand side from about 28 weeks... Ribs stretching, sometimes called rib flare. If its not that, I could be heartburn or constipation. If its gone away and you have no other symptoms, I personally wouldn't be overly worried, but speak to your midwife if you are.

I think your baby’s position can also impact this quite a lot. I found it worst whenever any of my babies were in breech. The only thing that really helped was lying down flat and then I ended up with all acid reflux!
