Loopy, go to the chemist and speak to the pharmacist. Hopefully they'll be able to advise you.

Hope it gets sorted and doesn't spoil your weekend.....

Loopy, I hear you! My piles have been worstening and now (36 weeks) they're monstrous! Some tips - an inflatable ring will help you to sit until the pain ebbs. Try to sit/lie on your side often, to decrease pressure down below. Keep mobile around the hips as much as possible - pelvic floor exercises work on piles too, ime, esp the ones that have popped out. Eat fibrous food (muesli daily!). Drink tons of water and (if you can stomach them) have a couple of live yoghurts (I know Actimel isn't great in PG but for me it made a huge quality-of-life difference). Check with GP as blood could be a sign of another problem, but the chances are, it's just PG horror...

Well I had to have a visit to the hospital this morning, dreaded piles.... oh the joys of pregnancy. They wouldn't stop bleeding this morning, DH had to phone MIL whilst I sat on the toilet bleeding like a pig! I couldn't get to the hospital and needed some padding! Anyway whilst there the doc who was so thorough and lovely, told me that according to my results from April I am slightly anaemic, and wondered if anything had been done, I explained I wasn't even aware and had not been told I was! That will at least explain why I have been getting so breathless and tired throughout this entire pregnancy, he wants me to get my levels checked, and also do a liver function test. He also asked if the team were doing anything about water works - always have protein in my samples along with lucosites(white blood cells), to which I replied nothing is being done. He was astounded to say the least and is not very happy at all. He has told me to go back to the midwife, and get these test completed, along with the diabetes and thyroid test on Tuesday. He was also shocked that Ihad not been tested for diabetes when I was pregnant with Thomas. When I went to see the midwife last week she measured my tummy, and although I am only 29 weeks, I am measuring at 31!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully these tests will be conclusive and I will know finally what is going on. He told me I need to take this quite seriously, I said I had no idea what had been going on as nobody has informed me. The wonders of the NHS hey!!!!

Just wanted to say that I measured 2 weeks ahead during a couple of my pregnancies. Seemed I was carrying extra fluid. As I got closer to term the measurements came closer to what would be expected as the fluid became reabsorbed. I just came to expect it although the consultants insisted on a gtt which came back fine.

Oh and with the piles - I found that once they had burst the pain eased tremendously. Hopefully they will ease up for you soon.

Loopy, that sounds shocking - can you request to change MWs?
