Anyone with spotting in weeks 3-5 end up with success?

Hi all. My first pregnancy here. Due on 9 Aug according to app, didn’t ovulate until CD20 so going on that I’m 4weeks+2.

TMI- I’ve had some what I think must be “spotting” on CD11,12,15 and 16 (today). Looks like my usual discharge but tinged brown, and yesterday had a small dark brown clot in it (maybe the size of a pumpkin seed?!) I usually get this type of spotting each month a couple of days before my period starts. It’s only there when I wipe and not enough to show up in a panty liner for example. Today’s was only slightly brown, not dark brown. Terrified it’s not sticking but what else can I do!?

Did anyone who ended up with a successful pregnancy have this? Please give me hope!

No obvious other symptoms yet except slightly sore boobs and very very mild cramps (again feeling like my period is about to start), almost so symptomless I think I might be imagining it! Don’t dare go to the doctors yet as I’m very superstitious and feel like i want it to be a bit more real first.

I meant DPO not CD in the above post, still getting used to the terminology!!!

I had bleeding at 3/4 weeks which I actually assumed was a period and also had bleeding at 7 weeks, I’m now 27 weeks and all is fine. They did a scan at 7 weeks as I knew I was pregnant by then but I only realised about the very early bleeding when I was working my dates out.

I bled from 4-10 weeks some heavy days and clots. Am now feeling a very active baby kick about at 28 weeks.

I’m 8 weeks today with my second, so very early. I’ve just had 2 weeks of bleeding. Spotting at first then continuous bleeding for a week. Thought I’d better get the bleeding checked as it wasn’t stopping. Sent me for a scan and there was a heartbeat. Totally thought I was out, so was very surprised.

Thank you everyone. Is there anything a doctor or midwife could even do at this stage (4w+3)? I haven’t called up yet to book myself as I was going to see how things worked out next few days as it’s so early.

@MaisieMolly I was 4w+ 3 last Friday when I started spotting as you describe. It steadily got heavier with Sunday a light bleed rather than spotting. I rang GP yesterday who just said as it’s so early to test again in a week and to continue to take pregnancy vitamins. She did say that she’s known women to bleed heavily in early pregnancy and go on to have a viable pregnancy... I hope this is reassuring to you. Good luck xx

I had spotting at 4 weeks and then again at 6 weeks (very similar to what you described). The one at 6 weeks lasted an entire week, although light the entire time. Currently 21 weeks, had two scans, everything seems fine so far and I can feel baby moving around a lot now :)

I had spotting exactly how you describe at 6 weeks to the point where I assumed I was miscarrying.
However a scan at the early pregnancy unit proved otherwise and he is now 18 and at University.Smile
